All in all, I think this is a great hair dryer. It dries my hair faster than my sister’s other conair hair dryer and actually stays cool when set to cool (I’m not sure I’ve ever had a hair dryer do that). The loudness can be a lot sometimes but I do have ear plugs I can use. My biggest issue is that I have long hair and if I’m not careful, it’ll get sucked up in the back. This is simple enough to prevent with extra care but still a little annoying. I think it’s because the motor is so powerful and it has a short barrel, because the mesh screen on the back is equivalent to other hair dryers I’ve used and I never had an issue with those ones. But for your money, I’m not sure there’s another hair dryer that would do a better job. I’d be interested to see how it compares to the non-compact version.

I don't like going to bed with wet hair and my room, in deep winter, has a really bad draft so I got this for those nights that my hair doesn't airdry in time before bed. The last hair dryer I used was back in the 90s that my mom had and it had 2 features- on and off and high and low. I love that this one has not just those features but a warm and cool feature too. This is also a great size for travelling. I haven't needed to travel with it but fits perfectly in my very narrow bathroom cupboard.

Don't buy this if you are looking for a hair dryer to style your hair with, but it is fabulous for drying quickly. My hair used to take 10 minutes to blow dry and now it takes 3! My only complaint is that the paint marking the settings on each button wore off after only 3 or 4 uses.
