I liked everything about it except for one feature the competing bag had going for it. The EVA hard shell is in the middle, which itself is fine as your primary camera sits behind it slightly, but I'm seldom whacked directly in the centre of the back and as the bag has wide set and stable plastic feet on the base, I don't see it falling over too easily or to warrant the case being there. Furthermore, it has webbing to allow it to not open fully, or much really, and with all of the compartments inside doesn't hold much. The bag I settled on has the EVA on the top (slanted at a 45), it's empty except for the lining and opens fully, using the collar of the main compartment to act as a table of sorts as well as a secure compartment closer to the back of my head which is where I get hit more often than not if not paying attention while shooting. Back to the bag at hand... Overall, the bags are virtually identical short of the colours used on the tabs and accents, of and this bag has a name printed inside liner on the main compartments. It's beautiful. The child bag is a great addition, but I mainly got it for travel via rail or ferry for walking trips. This bag allows full customization inside the main cavity. As i only have one camera and a couple of accessories I took the child bag out of the base and filled the compartment with clothes for the day or two trip, iPad in the back, camera up top and toiletries and cannabis goodies in the many supplementary compartments. Could use the child bag for a separate toiletries bag too depending on your trip and needs. Very versatile and well made, a buy!

Best Camera Case I've Ever Had

This case has plenty of space and then some. I can keep ALL of my lenses in it as well as my camera (with battery grip AND attached zoom lens) in it as well. Many compartments for the smaller things. Only issue I have is it won't hold a laptop (MacBook Air) properly. The upper lid bends over at the top. So unless your iPad or laptop bends, you probably wanna leave it at home or carry it some other way. Aside from that there are lots of ties, straps, adjustable belt and shoulder straps. It's REALLY good quality and sturdy! I can't recommend it enough for the photographer on the go.

I purchased this bag strictly for my travels for photography. I carry a pair of Nikon bodies as well as an assortment of lenses and spare batteries in this backpack. My 15.6" laptop fits (tightly) into the laptop section and I usually have a small tripod on the side in the loop/pocket securing system. In the year or so that I have been using this bag it has accrued several thousand KM of travel in dry and wet conditions.

The adjustable shoulder height and waist supports make extended carrying of the bag simple and much easier than expected.

Zipper pulls are decent, but a slight bit annoying on certain compartments (Lower back). Wish there were more mounting options (Velcro/Molle/etc...) but a very good pack for the price.

Excellent Bag for Heavy Duty Field Work

Lots of padding and lots of room with multiple areas to store bodies, lenses and accessories. I has a good tripod system. This is perhaps my 20th camera bag of one sort or another and it is my favorite for heavy duty filed work. I can carry two full frame bodies both with lenses attached and another 4 lenses plus batteries, filters and a tripod with head attached.

Packed up it is heavy with all the equipment but very comfortable with the adjustments available. The adjustments are not well explained but can be figured out if you play with it a little.

A Perfect Bag for My DJI Products

An excellent bag for storing my DJI Drone x 2 and a DJI Osmo 3. One Mavic Mini in its case that fits three batteries, drone and controller, one Mavic 2 Pro in its case that fits three batteries, drone and controller, one Osmo 3 in its case and all the cables / chargers, spare propellers, and accessories that I have for all three items. I also have a 9 inch tablet, two cellphone / tablet holders for the DJI controllers, and a 10 inch laptop stored in the bag. I do not have much more room; however, it comfortably stores everything mentioned above.

Now, I'm no professional photographer, but I do own a Canon 30D with a 200mm Tamron lens, a 50mm lens, a 35mm Canon A1 film camera with a lens on it, and two other lenses for it as well. This backpack holds all of them perfectly with extra space for my film autowinder, extra rolls of film, and other extra little gear like tripod attachments, camera straps, and remotes. This thing is incredible. I got this backpack because I was tired of having camera equipment lying around because it wouldn't fit in my smaller bag. I wanted to be able to store everything in one spot and be able to know where everything is. I also wanted a backpack I can grow into, so I needed one with extra space for when I upgrade my camera body and buy additional lenses. This has everything and more.

I had spinal fusion surgery a little under 5 years ago to correct scoliosis and I have 15 of my vertebrae fused. Ever since then, finding a backpack that doesn't cause me serious amounts of back pain has been a challenge, which sucks because I'm an avid hiker and carry heavy gear on those hikes. Because of the ability to adjust the tops of the straps on the backpack, as well as there being a chest strap and waist belt, I can have my backpack fully loaded, weighing well over 15 pounds, and I get zero back pain. Everything is fully adjustible, which is a dream. I also get a lot of neck pain because it is pretty much the only part of my spine I can move and bend, and there is always a lot of tension there. The included caribiner straps on the shoulder straps are amazing! I hook my film camera to it and it takes the weight off of my neck, which eliminates the need for a strap for it all together. I never would have thought of ever wanting something like that, but it was such a smart move.

The laptop pocket is a little bit cramped when fully loaded, even for my 13 inch 2022 Macbook Air, which is already pretty slim, however I love the secrecy of where it's located and how to access it. The extra storage compartments within the backpack are amazing too, I keep extra Canon A1 batteries, film, and my CF card reader in those compartments.

Though I haven't traveled with it just yet, I can already tell it will replace my regular backpack on more hiking centric trips. I can put both my film and digital cameras in the bottom compartment, and remove the top padding to put toiletries, clothes, and other electronic items in there. I think it would be too big to put under the seat on a plane, however it might on a bigger plane. If you're American, I definitely recommend having TSA pre-check so you don't have to unload this entire bag on the conveyer belt when in the security line, haha.

The tripod slots on the side are incredibly smart. You can either put the legs into the cup holder itself, or there's a little pouch that comes out of the waist belt that can also hold the tripod legs. There are three ways of strapping it in that way, one clip strap at the top, and two adjustible ones at the middle and bottom. If you configure it correctly, you could also fit a gimble, gorilla pod, and even a drone on the side of this backpack. This configuration is on both sides of the backpack too, which is great if you want a gimble and a tripod, or a tripod and a drone, or anything you can think of.

I haven't needed the extra waist bag, but it can hold an additional camera body plus a lens or two in it. It's great if you need the space, but I think it's a little bit extra for what I need the backpack for.

Overall, this backpack is amazing quality and has amazing back support. I anticipate having no issues traveling with this, and it hold all of my equipment and then some. I highly recommend it for the photographer hobbyist, avid nature photographer, professionals, or anybody who just loves a good backpack (myself included). I didn't know a hybrid hiking / camera bag existed, but now I can reserve my 15L hiking backpack, with no padding for my camera (which I would literally just throw in there with a hoodie around it as padding), as a camping bag and just use this, which will keep my camera protected from myself and the elements. This thing also comes with a rain cover to make it fully waterproof. If you are considering other bags as an option, don't. You won't find anything better than this.

Cameras, drones, you name it, there is a compartment

I have a couple of old camera rucksacks and bags, I think the newest is about 7 years old. I have a lot of camera kit and have recently added a couple of DJI drones to the mix, Mini SE and a mini 3 Pro. I wanted a bag big enough to fit camera, a couple of lenses, laptop, batteries, drones, drone bits and anything else needed for a weekend shoot. It needed to be rugged, protective and comfortable, if possible also reasonably priced too. I have to say that this fits all the requirements.
First off the secondary bag is a nice idea, hiding in the bottom compartment and being able to clip it on as a belly bag is a great idea, although a little fiddly to get the clips in while wearing the rucksack once on an easy to access and comfy addition.
Onto the main body, I use a Nikon D750 (or similar) and I can get this with a 24-120mm lens into the camera section easily, with the dividers being movable fitting in anything I need is possible, but you will struggle to get anything bigger than most 300mm lenses in attached to the body (obviously depending on make model etc, but you aren't going to manage you huge f2.8 800mm zoom in here). There is a sleeve in front of the camera compartment that takes a tablet easily then zips in place in front of the lenses, with outer cover zipping up again. There are two good sized front pockets with compartments inside, plenty of room for memory cards, cables, batteries, pens, notepad etc, well secured to.
Then the bottom compartment, on arrival the dividers are flat in the bottom to allow the shoulder/belt bag to fit in, you could leave them like this and get some clothing in there, or waterproofs, its a nice amount of room, or like I did you can set the dividers to fit 2 drones. The pockets are deep enough to slide a sub 250g DJI drone into, with space for controller, batteries and even a screwdriver set added in the other storage bits. The outer cover for this section is well zipped and has a pair of web straps over the outside as well so it nice and secure. There are 2 big elasticated pockets on the sides with the usual straps to secure tripods, if you want them.
Also the shoulder straps can be completely removed and adjusted to suit your personal preference and build, this is a very nice feature as I am tall, 6' 4", but I also have a fairly long back so these adjustments make a big difference if you are lugging your kit about for a day.
With the addition of a separate rain cover I can't really think of any shortcomings for this set up, ideal if you have a lot of kit, adjustable for comfort with comfy shoulder straps, it feels solid and is very adjustable to suit. At the price it's being sold for it is an excellent bargain. I can only recommend.
