I was looking for a small backpack to use when walking my dog, or on short day trips to the cottage or hiking. I find a regular sized pack to be a bit too bulky and cumbersome for short excursions, so upon receiving this one I was quite pleased. It is the perfect size for me, enough to carry wallet, keys, glasses, cleanup bags for the dog, small book, (probably enough room for my tablet as well) and still plenty of room left over. The material seems durable (haven’t tested it for waterproof qualities yet but it does feel like it would repel water), zippers are metal rather than cheap plastic, and stitching seems good. This backpack also offers lots of compartments in which to store your things.
Overall, if you’re looking for a small backpack that is comfortable and doesn’t feel bulky or get in the way, you’ll probably really like this one. Fingers crossed about long-tee durability, but so far I really love it.

Personal Item for airline carryon
This little backpack served me very well as a personal under-seat carryon item on a recent trip. This was the only one I could find that would meet the maximum width and depth dimension for both airlines I was flying with. I was hoping for a bag that that had a bigger capacity (the pen is pictured for relative size) and I'd hoped for a band on the back to loop onto my suitcase handle (I tied a scarf through the top loop), but this one ended up serving me very well. It was very light weight, the zippers seem to be of good quality, and the smaller size left lots of room under the airline seat in front of me to stretch out my feet. There's a zippered full-length pocket on the back to secure important documents, plus two zippered pockets on the front and zippered pocket on the inside at the back. I managed to stuff a mini purse and a small packable down jacket into the main compartment. The side pockets fit a narrow water bottle and a folded umbrella.
